Kos town, located in the northeast, is a vibrant blend of history and modernity. Its streets, buildings, markets, parks, and squares reflect a rich heritage. Despite being a hub for tourists, Kos maintains a calm pace thanks to the widespread use of bicycles by locals and visitors alike. Discover Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman ruins alongside Italian-era buildings, all narrating a richly woven history.

When night falls, the beachfront comes alive with cafes, bars, and restaurants, creating an upbeat evening atmosphere. The city’s 1933 post-earthquake urban planning by the Italians emphasizes green spaces, earning Kos the nickname “garden city.”
